Welcome to JUST UniversALL Education!

Just UniversALL education supports the needs of all learners in the classroom by supporting teachers to design and delivery appropriate instruction in response to the needs of all learners in the general education classroom community, where every student belongs.

In the coming weeks and months we will build and share a variety of resources for classroom teachers, resources service providers and school leaders to build capacity to support all learners successfully in fully inclusive educational contexts accessible to all learners regardless of diverse identities, languages, abilities and backgrounds.

Why do this?

  • Because all learners have the civil right to Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) in the US?
  • Because every learner in the general education classroom has the right to participate and engage with peers, without the barriers created by stigmatizing labels, stereotypes and segregating practices.

This post is a short introduction of what is to come in the future of Just UniversALL Education, so stay tuned for more as we build the site, share resources, and add new features.

Things to look forward too…

  • Learners Legal Rights: Special Education and Multilingual Education Law for Educators, Learners and Families
  • Resource Portals: Explore Resources to use in Classrooms, Schools, and Share with Learners’ Families
  • Just UniversALL Education Blog: News and Updates to support education in this shifting field across the USA.
  • Resource Request: Share ideas and request resources that would be helpful.

This is just the beginning so ideas are emerging, shifting and solidifying. Resources and site features will be shared as they evolve so check back to find more and increase learning for all students by teaching ALL learners within the general education classroom by anticipating needs, breaking down barriers and eliminating practices that silo educators and segregate students unjustly.

After twenty years of advocacy for inclusive equity for all learners within general education classroom contexts, Just Universal Education was born in 2025. The not-for-profit organization was founded by Dr. Anne O. Davidson S. and Dr. Katrine Gosselin to advance years of advocacy for diverse, inclusive classrooms into real transformation of everyday teaching in US, public-school, general education contexts.

Drawing on their backgrounds in special education in Colorado, both focus on supporting the full-range of individual needs all students bring into their general education classroom learning community, ranging from mild learning needs to multiple, significant and complex medical needs that require significant support in the school context. Drs. Gosselin and Davidson also focus on connections between special education and culturally and linguistically diverse education recognizing the often confounding relationship among learning, language development, and disability related needs that present barriers to learning for students in educational settings.

Embrace the vision of just, universal education for all learners. Embody the inclusive equity students have the right to access.
